Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
What’s in a moisturizer, and why is moisturizing so important?
When it comes to our skin, we’re all after one thing — a radiant, glowing, juicy complexion. And whatever other skincare lotions and potions you’ve got sitting on your shelf, it’s moisturizer that has arguably the most important role to play in your beauty routine.
But the point of moisturizer isn’t to dramatically transform your skin, it’s to make it feel good. Face creams really aren’t there to do any heavy-lifting, and while they’re a mainstay of any solid self-care routine, we’d refer you instead to a serum if you’re looking to target a particular skin concern.
Moisturizer is there only to soften, soothe, lubricate and repair. It should be whichever makes your skin look radiant and feel supple while ensuring your makeup goes on without any fuss.
And when you find one you love, you’ll happily commit to moisturizer-monogamy for life. Before we move on, we’d like you to meet our latest love: the Clear Body – Retinol Moisturizer! It’s of sheer, unadulterated joy if you’re chronically chapped and flaky in the face but can’t stand slick greasiness.
So hydrating, so restorative, and so wonderfully smooth beneath foundation — don’t mind if we do.
How Do I Find the Right Moisturizer?
Moisturizers contain humectants that draw water into the skin and hold it there. They also contain emollients that are blended with oils.
Clear Body Retinol Moisturizer contains antioxidant-rich jojoba oil which is emulsified into a cream that helps maintain the integrity of the skin’s barrier function and protects against external irritants.
Stressors like pollutants, irritants, toxins, UV and blue light assail your skin on the daily and impact its hydration levels, leaving you prone to dryness. While you needn’t be constantly rotating through an ever-changing arsenal of creams and lotions and moisturizers, your skin does need change on a day-to-day basis.
We recommend having two moisturizers – a lightweight gel and an ultra-rich cream. You can’t get serious about a hydrated, glowing complexion without first getting to know your skin: familiarizing yourself with what it likes and what it definitely doesn’t is key to building a skincare routine that’ll have you looking and feeling alive!
